Introducing David Batselier (Production Operator) in a short interview about his mission at REAZN.
WHO ARE YOU?
Hello, my name is David, I am 50 years old and I have been working at REAZN since 2006. When I started my career at REAZN, I worked as a furnace operator. During the creation of REAZN+ (at the time ISTC), my function initially consisted in ensuring a logistics and material flow continuity. For several years, REAZN+ has been a production unit and today I am a production operator.
WHAT’S YOUR MISSION IN THE COMPANY?
My mission today consists in doing a pre-treatment of raw materials for the manufacturing of our finished products. Apart from this, the post-treatment of the skimmings of our production is part of my job. The post-treatment is necessary to revalorize them and to make them a raw material for other industrial applications. I take responsibility for my own production line and ensure a good shift handover with my colleagues
WHAT IS THE MOST CHALLENGING PART OF YOUR JOB?
Safety, productivity, order and cleanliness must always be fulfilled at the same time. These are the most important issues in my duties and I pay continuous attention towards them.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT REAZN?
What I appreciate enormously at REAZN is the good atmosphere that prevails and the mutual respect between all colleagues. This gives me the feeling that we are one big family. I have a diverse range of tasks and that makes every day exciting.
