Introducing Stefan Schmeisser (Sales & Purchase Manager) in a short interview about his mission at REAZN.

WHO ARE YOU?
My name is Stefan Schmeisser, I’m responsible for selling zinc alloys and purchasing secondary materials at REAZN. I’m active in International Sales since 16 years and joined the “zinc world” in 2011 which keeps fascinating me since then.

WHAT’S YOUR MISSION IN THE COMPANY?
REAZN is already on a mission since many years, every year constantly further improving production and service processes, keeping the quality of our zinc alloys at highest levels. This is achieved through regular investments and training of employees, increasing the service level to our customers and suppliers, further reducing the environmental impacts from our production to a minimum. I see my mission as being part of the big picture, to support our group in the best possible way and help REAZN to continue its successful journey also in the future.

WHAT IS THE MOST CHALLENGING PART OF YOUR JOB?
At least during the recent year due to Covid, staying in the (home) office, not seeing business partners and colleagues was quite a big challenge. To foster both relationships on a regular basis, is not only important for the personal and business relationship as well as my responsibility in a commercial position. You also miss the regular interactions a lot if you are used to travelling and seeing business partners during so many years before. I would guess that I’m not the only one in the world of sales who’s looking forward to finally get rid of this kind of “challenge”.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT REAZN?
We contribute something very important to the whole society and the environment by transforming secondary (scrap) materials into top quality prime zinc alloys. I like the highly professional and friendly working atmosphere, my colleagues, very quick decision findings as well as the flat hierarchal structure. All this makes a real difference and gives additional motivation to each employee in our group.
