MEET THE TEAM
Introducing Karin Hübner-Giebels (Account Manager Purchasing Germany) in a short interview about her mission at REAZN.
Who are you?
I started my career in 2010 as a commercial for purchasing zinc scrap in Germany. In 2018, after having a little flirt with copper, I took the plunge and went to a much bigger and more innovative zinc alloy producer in Luxemburg: REAZN. By the way, my name is Karin Hübner-Giebels and zinc still makes my heart beat faster.
What is your mission in the company?
To promote and increase our high-quality sustainable zinc alloy on the market successfully has been our goal ever since. For this goal to be achieved my mission is to find all the sources in (my) market to secure the supplies for our production in the most effective strategic and long-term way possible.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
To be aware of all the economic, political, or environmental influences which can affect the market in many ways and still be able to provide enough material and resources for our production. Being able to build strong and reliable business relations with strategic partners even in difficult times like these, is another big challenge.
What do you like about working at REAZN?
Despite using all the buzz words like sustainability, environmentally friendly, and putting recycling first, THIS has always been the DNA of REAZN long before it was a trendy thing to do. To contribute to this aim every single day in the most effective way is what I like most about working at REAZN. But without my highly international colleagues, “zinc-work-life” would be much less (silver grey) sparkly.
