Sustainability Manager

 

We are looking for a passionate Sustainability Manager to join our team in Luxembourg (Strassen). You will support the different departments to bring the REAZN Group beyond compliance and to develop, implement and monitor sustainability initiatives across our organization.

REAZN Group, with subsidiaries in Luxembourg, Belgium and the UK, is the world’s largest recycling expert for high-quality, custom-made, primary zinc alloys. We employ approximately 130 zinc specialists and produce over 100.000 tons of zinc alloys annually for nearly 400 customers worldwide. By recycling valuable zinc units, we embed sustainability at the core of our strategy and investment decisions – delivering long-term value for our customers, partners, and the planet.

your mission

As a Sustainability Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage and grow the field of sustainability while contributing to meaningful initiatives that drive positive change. You will work closely with the sustainability officer to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability programs across our organization.

your responsibilities will include
  • Data collection, analysis, and reporting on key sustainability metrics.
  • Manage the yearly update of our product Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), corporate carbon footprint, Ecovadis and UNGC questionnaire.
  • Provide a yearly sustainability report.
  • Engaging with stakeholders on sustainability initiatives and promoting sustainability awareness internally and externally.
    Responsibilities include visiting customers, frequenting our Kruisem factory in Belgium, and speaking at fairs and seminars.
  • Driving sustainability projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Managing sustainability assessments to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implementation of sustainability initiatives, such as energy efficiency programs, waste reduction efforts, and community engagement activities.
  • Facilitating internal trainings on Sustainability topics.
  • Researching best practices and trends in sustainability to inform strategy development.

 

what we require
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Strong passion for sustainability and a desire to learn and grow within the field.
  • Interest in the European and Belgian non-financial reporting requirements (VSME/CSRD/ESRS/EU Taxonomy)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in sustainability-related projects is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, strong knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
