This is the opportunity to join a well-established and growth-oriented company in Luxembourg. We are actively looking for our Strassen offices, a dynamic profile to fill in a position of Account Manager Purchasing, to work within our purchasing team on a permanent full-time basis.

your mission
  • Learn, grow and manage scrap and raw material sourcing network
  • Follow up on the execution of contracts
  • Supervise the logistical operations and their execution
  • Planning and coordination of raw material deliveries
  • Record and report on supplier performance
  • Reporting of purchased volumes and price levels
  • Pricing and hedging of purchase orders
  • Develop a strategic scrap sourcing plan and participate in business planning
  • Partner with site personnel and the Purchasing Manager to understand supplier’s requirements and demand
  • Handling of claims and complaints with suppliers
  • Participate and contribute in business unit scrap buyers team meetings

Travel expected for this position, including international. Travel required to build relationships with sourcing network and internal support system. Travel may also be required for training purposes (i.e. visits to other REAZN plants, Seminars, Conventions etc…)

your profile & skills
  • Education: University degree or similar
  • Fluent in at least two of the 3 following languages: English, German and French, both spoken and written. Any other language is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and independent
  • High level of initiative and proactivity
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Systematic in resolving issues
  • Excellent team and interpersonal skills with both internal and external parties
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Customer/Supplier Focus
  • Experience with the LME (London Metal Exchange) and knowledge about metal pricing and currency exchanges and conversions is considered a must have
  • Experience in a similar position is considered preferable
  • Valid driving license
